Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an unnatural screen from being displayed and to reduce the feeling of the incompatibility of a user by holding a reproduced image which is displayed at present by a display image deciding means when continuity is time-sequentially lost. SOLUTION: At the time of detecting the switching of a program, the passage of data to an input buffer memory 102 is inhibited and whole data in the memory 102 are deleted. A display image deciding means 106 is controlled and the display image at that time is kept. Thus, the unnatural screen of a blue back screen is prevented from being displayed for prescribed time at the time of switching the program. At the time of detecting the switching of the program, area information in an area except for an area which is used for present display in a reproduced image memory 107 is cleared and it is set to be an idle area. Thus, an unnecessary image later than the switch detection time of encoding data is prevented from being displayed. Encoding data after switching is speedily written into the memory 107 in short time.
