Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present uniform outside appearance without contrast irregularity by impressing voltage for compensating the deviation of effective voltage to be impressed on a scanning electrode group based on the specified difference of the number of lit dots.
SOLUTION: Waveform correction corresponding to the difference between the numbers of lit dots on the scanning electrode selected and the scanning electrode selected next is performed to the display irregularity caused by alternate stringiness. When some scanning electrode is selected, a correction circuit 104 fetches a data signal 103, counts the number MON of lit dots on the scanning electrode selected next, and calculates a difference I between the number NON of lit dots on the scanning electrode selected at present and the number MON. When the selection is shifted, the mark of I and an absolute value are outputted as a mark signal 108 and an intensity signal 109, respectively. Simultaneously, the MON is fetched and stored as the number NON of lit dots on the scanning electrode selected. A power source circuit 105 performs necessary correction to the voltage of a Y power source 106 in accordance with the signals 108 and 109.
