PURPOSE: To obtain a heat sensitive transfer image recording sheet having small curl against heat by providing a film surface layer containing a specific amount of petroleum resin and a heat transfer image receiving layer on a thermoplastic resin film containing a specific amount of petroleum resin.
CONSTITUTION: A thermoplastic resin film surface layer 10 containing less than 3wt.% of petroleum resin and a heat transfer image receiving layer 6 are laminated on a surface of a thermoplastic resin film base layer 9 containing 3-60wt.% of petroleum resin to form a heat sensitive transfer image recording sheet. The thermoplastic resin includes, for example, polyolefin resin such as polyethylene, polypropylene, ethylene-propylene copolymer, etc. The resin to be blended in the film includes, for example, hydrocarbon resin or its hydrogenated matter obtained by polymerizing raw material obtained by thermal decomposition of petroleum with catalyst, and the raw material includes, for example, terpene, cyclopendadiene, styrene, etc.
