PURPOSE: To improve the space factor and to prevent a disturbing signal from an external circuit by mounting the directional coupler on a printed circuit board upright.
CONSTITUTION: A main transmission line 1 and a coupling transmission line 2 are formed as a film pattern on a dielectric board. Input and output ports P1, P2 and lead terminals P3, P4 connected to the coupling transmission line are provided on one side of a base and the main transmission line and the coupling transmission line are shielded electromgnetically by overcoats 7, 8, 9. Moreover, the dielectric board on which the main transmission line is formed as a film pattern and the dielectric board on which the coupling transmission line is formed as a film pattern are mounted back to back to each other.
