Abstract:
PURPOSE:To allow a user to know the registered reading of a certain work and to effectively utilize a dictionary by displaying the registered reading when the user inputs the work by reading different from the registered one. CONSTITUTION:When reading 'kabushikigaisha' (stock company in English) is inputted to an input means 1 and a conversion instruction is inputted, the reading inputted in a storage means 8 is stored and a conversion means 3 converts the input into 'KANJI' (Chinese character). A decision means 5 decides whether the 'KANJI' converted by the means 3 is stored in a dictionary means 4 or not. When the 'KANJI' is stored, a reading means 6 reads out reading 'kabu' corresponding to the 'KANJI'. A comparing means 7 compares 'kabu' read out from the means6 with 'kabushikigaisha' stored in the means 8, and since both the contents are different, 'kabu' is displayed on a display means 4. Thus, the user can know the registered reading.
