PURPOSE: To obtain a multiplex communication system for vehicle which is capable of detecting a fail by a self side node even when other communication node fails and runs away, in a multiplex communication system for vehicle to which plural communication nodes are connected.
CONSTITUTION: In a multiplex communication system for vehicle, a first multiplex communication node 300 controlling the window motor 30 on the side of a driver's seat and second multiplex communication nodes 400, 401 and 402 controlling the window motors 415 of other seats are connected on a common communication line 310. The multiplex communication node 300 periodically outputs a pre-monitoring signal 'clear' to multiplex communication nodes 400, 401 and 402. The multiplex communication nodes 400, 401 and 402 receive this monitoring signal 'clear' and monitor the receiving interval.
