Title:
NONAQUEOUS SECONDARY BATTERY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0562713
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a cylindrical or elliptical nonaqueous secondary battery having structure capable of controlling the winding slippage between positive and nagative electrodes in the battery width direction, preventing the occurrence of an internal short circuit, and making high capacity.

CONSTITUTION: This nonaqueous secondary battery has battery structure in which positive and negative electrodes, composed of current collecting bodies of metallic foil bonded with active material, are spirally wound via separators 3. The ratio of a positive electrode width to a negative electrode width is made in a range of 0.980-1.00, the maximum width in the width direction part, where the positive and negative electrodes are unopposed, is controlled so as to become 0.038 or less, and the ratio of the maximum width to the separator width is at least 1.04.
