PURPOSE: To improve the convenience in various kinds of use states by combining an extension hose tightly wound with a reinforcing wire and a flexible hose coarsely wound with a reinforcing wire.

CONSTITUTION: This hose for an electric vacuum cleaner body 1 is used to connect an electric vacuum cleaner body 1, a suction port body 9 and an operator side pipe 7 connected with an extension pipe 8 and is constituted by combing the extension hose 13 tightly wound with the reinforcing wire 12 and the flexible hose 14 coarsely wound with the reinforcing wire 12 via a connector 15. The extension hose 13 is connected to the operator side pipe 8 via a front end pipe and the flexible hose 14 is connected to the electric vacuum cleaner body 1 via the body pipe 4. The reinforcing wire 12 of the extension hose 13 is held in a tight contact state regardless of the internal pressure difference in the hose and the hose attains a specified length without elongating and contracting so that stable cleaning is executed at the time of cleaning a floor. The extension hose 13 elongates and its suction port 9 is easily accessible to a high place when the suction port 9 is lifted at the time of cleaning the high place.
