PURPOSE: To improve the quality of coke by increasing the number of revolutions of a revolving blade installed in a charging tube of a charging car and thereby increasing the falling speed of coal particles with the increase in the amt. accumulated of coal taken out of the car.
CONSTITUTION: Coal 6 in a coal hopper 3 of a charging car is taken out with a table feeder 4 installed at the bottom of the hopper 3. The rate of taking out of coal is increased and simultaneously the rate of revolution of a revolving blade 7 installed in a charging tube 5 is increased with the incresase in the amt. accumulated of coal taken out, thus increasing the falling speed of coal particles 6. The accelerated coal particles 6 fall into a coke oven chamber 1 through a charging hole 2 formed in the longitudinal direction of the chamber 1 and form a coal particle layer suffering little variation in apparent density along the vertical direction. The layer is dried to give a high-quality coke having uniform strengths at a high productivity.
