Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase significantly the number of documents being treated per hour by conveying the documents in a first out system by a paper feed means while superpos ing the following document upon the untreated surface side of the preceeding document on a platen, and providing a separating means to separate the following document from the preceeding document according to discharge operation for the already treated document.
CONSTITUTION: A regist roller 451 forming a paper feed means and a conveyor belt 13 as a conveying means are constituted so that the latter becomes faster than the former in the conveying speed, and constitute a separating means to separate a preceeding document from a following document. Furthermore, the paper feed directional tip in a part of the following document is superposed upon the untreated surface side of the preceeding document on a platen by a paper feed means, and the document is conveyed in a first-out system. In the case when conveyance is started, linear velocity of the conveyor belt 13 is larger than peripheral velocity of the regist roller 451, and in spite of advancing on a conveying passage R2 simultaneously, since a speed of the preceeding document unrestricted by the regist roller 451 is faster than the following document, the both documents are gradually separated, so that the preceeding document is discharged speedily into a paper discharge tray 61 from a paper discharge unit 50.
