PURPOSE: To enable operation reduced in the pressure drop at the time of operation, in the packing material for gas-liquid contact allowed to irregularly pack a packing tower by achieving the miniaturization and wt. reduction of the packing material and enhancing the gas-liquid flowability thereof, to keep the contact density of gas-liquid constant by increasing the strength of the packing material and to inexpensively prepare a packing material by simply forming the same.
CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical main body 10 is formed by providing a gas-liquid flow passage 11 in the axial direction of the inner periphery thereof and circular holes 12 are punched in the cylindrical main body 10 from the outer peripheral surface thereof in the direction of the flow passage 11 and burrs 18 generating by punching the holes 12 are allowed to protrude to the flow passage 11.
