Abstract:
PURPOSE: To efficiently wash a food material which is a material to be washed such as a vegetable, e.g. a cucumber, lettuce and a green pepper by fluidizing a washing liquid with a great fluid force according to the kind of the material to be washed.
CONSTITUTION: This apparatus for washing a food material is obtained by installing jetting nozzles 5 for jetting a fluid for washing from one lateral part 3 toward the other lateral part 4 in the one lateral part 3 in a washing tank 2 in which the fluid for washing is stored, inserting a partition member 7 having both ends in the width direction tilted to the side of the one lateral side 3 near the central part between both the lateral parts 3 and 4 in the washing tank 2 and further providing a liquid level regulating means for regulating the liquid level of the fluid for washing so as to expose at least a part of the jetting holes 5 upward from the liquid surface in the washing tank 2.
