Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a cosmetic capable of efficiently protecting skin and hair from external stress and excellent in feeling in use.

CONSTITUTION: The raw material of cosmetics is a compound protecting skin and hair by forming a coating film on them and (1) at least one heat absorption peak except one based on melting is observed in scanning differential thermal analysis and a weighted average temperature of the total heat absorption peak lies in the range of 10-40°C and the different of heat absorption peaks between the both end peaks is ≥2°C and (2) a loss tangent (tanδ) value measured by dynamic viscoelastic measurement is observed as a subpeak or a shoulder peak in addition to a melting peak in accordance with plural heat absorption peaks obtained by the scanning differential thermal analysis. The subject cosmetic contains the raw material for protecting skin and hair.
