PURPOSE: To provide a bending method of a plate material executing a drawing work having deep bending compared with the bending radius to a part of a long plate material by incorporating it into an ordinary press machine.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of plate material holding plates 4a, 4b at the right and left parts are fitted so as to be slidable onto a bolster in a press machine and on the other hand, by fitting a screw shaft 7 to a press slide 11, a pair of dies 3a, 3b at the right and left parts are fitted to the screw shaft 7. By holding the plate material 1 with the plate material holding plates 4a, 4b and the dies 3a, 3b therebetween, these parts in the machine are mutually shifted to inside and moment toward the inside to the plate material 1 is generated. Thereafter, a projecting part formed on the plate material 1 is pushed to an urethane rubber-made female die 5 by a punch 2 with a hydraulic cylinder 14 and further, the dies 3a, 3b are pressed toward the inside so as to form a prescribed bending radius to the bottom of the projecting part.
