PURPOSE: To provide a vegetable storing refrigerator having a direct cooling type freezing cycle in which a disturbance of refrigerator temperature and a defrosting reliability are improved and a damage of vegetable caused by a dripping of dew is prevented and its storing capability of long period of time is improved.

CONSTITUTION: A forced convection blower 13 and a refrigerator temperature accommodation heater 15 are disposed within a direct cooling refrigerator for performing a cooling operation with a cooling pipe 6 closely contacted and fixed to a rear surface of an inner box 3. In the case that a surrounding air temperature is high, the blower 13 is operated when an operation of a compressor 7 is stopped and in turn in the case that the surrounding air temperature is low, the refrigerator temperature accommodation heater 15 is electrically energized.
