Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a video signal processing device of simple constitution which eliminates the turn-back distortion at the time of restoring a signal subjected to band compression by offset subsampling.
CONSTITUTION: An intra-field interpolation circuit 12, field memories 13 and 14 connected to this circuit 12, adders 15 and 16 which calculate inter-field and inter-frame averages, a correlation discriminating circuit 19 which calculates a field difference and a frame difference by signals of three fields adjacent to one another and outputs a control signal in accordance with them, and a switch 20 which switches the outputs of adders 15 and 16 by the control signal are provided.
