Abstract:
PURPOSE: To automatically and surely remove impurities contg. oils and fats which have caused the firm clogging of a screen of a sewage pretreating device.
CONSTITUTION: In a fixed casing 3 incorporating a drum screen 2 supported by a horizontal rotating shaft in cantilever in a washer for the rotary drum screen of a sewage pretreating device, a slit 4 having almost the same length as the width of the drum screen is opened in parallel to the axial center of the drum screen 2, and the tip part of a fluid forcibly feeding pipe 6 having a washing nozzle 5 for jetting warm water of 40°C at a pressure of 60kg/cm2 is put in a casing 3 through the slit 4 from outside the casing 3. In this way, the washing nozzle 5 is made to face the drum screen 2, and the fluid forcibly feeding pipe 6 is connected to a moving body 7 provided so that the fluid forcibly feeding pipe 6 can reciprocate in the slit 4. While the drum screen 2 is rotated, the fluid forcibly feeding pipe 6 having the washing nozzle 5 is moved to wash the screen.
