PURPOSE: To preferentially process a word having a strong related connection with a word by stimulating a corresponding node on a network as to the word which can be judged to be selected even if the selection operation of a user is absent.
CONSTITUTION: A display part 3 displays a character string from an input part 1 and other various guide messages. A KANA (Japanese syllabary)-KANJI (Chinese character conversion part 4 converts a KANA character string which a converted result memory 5 holds into a string where KANJI and KANA are mixed. A selection/judgement part 9 judges that the conversion candidate is selected when the user does not correct a converted result displayed in the display part 3. A network control part 10 gives a load value corresponding to the word transmitted from a homonym selection part 8 or the selection/ judgement part 9 to the node on the network 11, and changes the state of the network 11. A network reference part 7 refers to the load value of the node on the network 11, which corresponds to the conversion candidate transmitted from the KANA/KANJI conversion part 4, and transmits the load value to the KANA/KANJI conversion part 4.
