Abstract:
PURPOSE: To relieve the load of a routine work by the operator by obtaining a correction function to compensate a black increased amount again for succeeding exposure for a dot processed image.
CONSTITUTION: The density of a cottrel screen 20 exposed by a recorder 12 and developed by a film processor 13 is measured by a measurement device 14. A gray level measured as an area coverage rate is given to a front end computer 10 via a line 21 or entered manually into the front end computer 10. Then a relative black increased amount is calculated based on a reference gray level and the area coverage rate measured in a computing stage 10" of the front end computer 10 and the amount is sent to a calibration computer 15 via a line 22 and stored therein. Moreover, a picture element number (n) to be evaluated is sent to the calibration computer 15 via the line 22.
