Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a condensed and stabilized composition composed of a 3-isothiazolone compound, s specific copper salt and an organic solvent useful as a fungicidal composition, various kinds of impregnants, a sea water protection-preventing agent, etc. CONSTITUTION: This isothiazolone condensed composition is composed of (A) an oil-soluble water-insoluble compound of the formula (Y is a 2-18C alkyl, a 4-18C alkenyl, a -18C alkynyl, a -12C cycloalkyl, a -10C aralkyl or a -10C aryl; R and R<1> are each H, halogen or a 1-4C alkyl), e.g. 2-n-octyl-3- isothiazolone, (B) a copper salt selected from a group consisting of copper dodecylbenzenesulfonate, copper dioctyl sulfosuccinate and copper petroleum sulfonate, and (C) an organic solvent for dissolving the components A and B, e.g. xylene, dipropylene glycol, dipropylene glycol monoethyl ether or a mineral spirit, in ratios of A=0.01-50 pts.wt., B=0.0001-10 pts.wt., and C=40-99.9899 pts.wt.
