PURPOSE: To improve waterproof and create solid feeling of appearance by making the thickness of roof materials look thicker than actual thickness by slanting tips on a surface along the eaves of roof materials downwardly in such a manner that they form an acute angle.

CONSTITUTION: Tips on a surface along the eaves 1B, 1B, 1C, 1C of roof materials 1, L1, U1 are formed in downwardly inclined faces 3, 3, 4, 4 in such a manner that they form an acute angle. Rainwater which flows from a ridge side is drained off in good condition at the tips 1B, 1C of the eaves of each roof material 1, L1, U1, and it is possible to prevent water from reaching the inclined faces 3, 4 and a rear surface of roof materials so that waterproof is ensured. Also, sunlight does not reach the inclined faces 3, 4 directly. Since a shadow is created on the roof material L1 on a lower step side, the area of shadow is increased, the thickness of the roof materials 1, L1, U1 look thick judging from their appearance, and a solid feeling is increased on the whole.
