Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a process for proliferating anchorage-dependent and floating cells in a shortened time using a serum-free culture medium containing a tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-2 (TIMP-2).
CONSTITUTION: The culture of an anchorage-dependent or-independent cell which has been separated from a mammalian animal and established as a line or a floating cell such as human or mouse cyncytium is carried out using a serum-free medium containing TIMP-2 and the proliferation can be attained in a shortened time.
