Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a weather strip by making it possible to certainly and inexpensively applying urethane paint to the surface of a molded weather strip difficult to develop.
CONSTITUTION: A rubber compd. prepared by adding 1-10 pts.wt. of polyglycidyl methacrylate having an epoxy group in its molecule to 100 pts.wt. of a rubber compd. constituted of SBR/EPDM is extruded from an extrusion molding machine 1 and, at the same time, urethane paint is supplied to a cap 4 to complete painting simultaneously with molding. After a vulcanization process, an urethane slide layer can be formed with good close adhesiveness.
