Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a new compound effective for various kinds of infectious diseases, having excellently antibacterial action on Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, etc., and stability to decomposing enzymes such as DHP.
CONSTITUTION: A derivative of formula I [R1 is lower alkyl or (protected) hydroxyl lower alkyl; R2 is H or lower alkyl; R3 is carboxylprotecting group or H; R4 is H, lower alkyl, etc.; R5 is H, lower alkyl, etc.; R6 is H, hydroxyl, etc.; R7 and R8 are H, lower alkyl, etc.; Z is CH2, O, etc.; (m) and (n) are 0-4] and its salt such as (1R,5S,6S,8R,2'S,4'S)-2-((2-((1-(2aminoethanesulfony)piperazin-4- yl)carbonyl)pyroolidin-4-yl)thio)-6-(1-hydroxyethyl)-1-methylcarbapenem-4- carboxylic acid. The compound of formula I, for example, is obtained by reacting a compound of formula II with diphenylphosphoryl chloride to give a compound of formula III and reacting the compound of formula III with a thiol compound of formula IV.
