Title:
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PROCESSING IMAGE FOR FORMING IMAGE FROM PLURAL ADJACENT IMAGES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH076227
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide method and device for processing image for constructing an image from adjacent images.

CONSTITUTION: Concerning the image processing method for constructing a target image Io from the adjacent images having fixed frame lines and source images I1...Ii and Ij...In, the source images and the target image have an almost common viewpoint. This method is provided with respective steps for digitizing the image, determining an address Aq of a correspondent point in one of all the source images Ij for one of picture elements of the target image, determining a luminance value F of this correspondent point and allocating the luminance value of this correspondent picture element to a leading picture element in the target image and repeats these steps for the respective picture elements of the target image. Besides, concerning the device for executing this method, (n) pieces of fixed real cameras C1...Cn cover wide angle view and supply (n) pieces of adjacent source images I1...In having a common viewpoint P. An image reconstituting system 100 simulates the mobile camera of a virtual camera Co for applying the sub-image of the target image Io in the wide angle view and constructs the target image based on the source images having the same viewpoint P.
