Abstract:
PURPOSE:To realize quick protective operation by comparing the output signal level of a time constant circuit with a comparative operation level and outputting a protective circuit operation signal if the output signal level is higher than the comparative operation level. CONSTITUTION:Upon conduction of GTO thyristors T11, T12; T21, T22; T31, T32, a current detector 3 outputs a current detection signal which is fed to a filter circuit 4. If the current detection signal sustains high level for an interval longer than the time constant, the filter circuit 4 delivers the signal level to a level comparing circuit 5. If the detected signal level is higher than a comparative level, the comparing circuit 5 outputs a protective circuit operating signal. Consequently, a protective circuit functions to interrupt input to a power converter. According to the constitution, quick protective operation is realized.
