PURPOSE: To provide a directional micropone by using plural non-directional sound receiving elements to be easily produced and to obtain the characteristics of directivity based upon the arrangement of the sound receiving elements and electric processing.
CONSTITUTION: The non-directional sound receiving elements A, B are arranged with an interval (k), the output terminals of the elements A, B are connected to an adder 3 and a subtractor 4, an integrating circuit 5 is connected to the output terminal of the subtractor 4 and the outputs of the circuit 5 and the adder 3 are connected to the 2nd adder 6 to add them. Plural sound receiving elements having this constitution are linearly arranged to execute electric processing. An output signal corresponding to non-directional sensitivity is obtained from the output terminal of the adder 3 and an output signal corresponding to bidirectional sensitivity is obtained from the output terminal of the subtractor 4. The time delay of sound is corrected by the circuit 5 and sensitivity with single directivity can be obtained by mutually adding the outputs of the circuit 5 and the adder 3. The secondary and ternary characteristics of directivity can be obtained by electric processing.
