Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent a car air conditioner from a trouble that the circulating amount of refrigerant is increased and overcooling is generated whereby the vicinity of an expansion valve is frozen when a motorcar continues high-speed running. CONSTITUTION:In an air conditioner, in which an expansion valve 12 is connected to a pipe 10 connecting a receiver tank 9 to an evaporator 11, the expansion valve 12 is provided with a bypass passage 35 for the communication of an inlet port 23 with an outlet port 24, and a choke 36 is provided on the half way of the bypass passage 35 while the bypass passage 35 is provided with a solenoid valve 37, opening and/or closing the bypass passage 35. The solenoid valve 37 opens the bypass passage 35 when the suction pressure of a compressor 3 is lower than a set value.
