Abstract:
PURPOSE: To shorten the processing time before the results of computation are outputted from the input request of process data by controllers and to realize high-speed control for the process.
CONSTITUTION: This process instrumentation system is provided with an interface unit 14 between the plural controllers 111, 112,... and one system of an external process input/output system 15. This unit contains an interface device 12 and plural input/output cards 131, 132,... for storing the input and output data of the predetermined kinds of the process, of which the interface device 12 is provided with a common memory 23 for storing the common data necessary for transmission of the data of the plural controllers and an access area selection section 26 for selecting either of the common memory 23, the certain process input/output card or the external process input/output system 15. The data of the selected constituting parts are transmitted to the controllers to which command signals are transmitted.
