Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the damage of a powder compact embedded with a lead wire and the bend of the lead wire which may arise when the compact is pressed by a lower punch at the time of clamping the lead wire at the stage of taking the powder compact out of a die.
CONSTITUTION: A cutting mechanism part is disposed between an upper punch 1 and the die 2. This cutting mechanism part is composed of a cutting part formed of a lower blade 6 and an upper blade 5 and a hand part having a pad 12 facing the lower blade 6 in the lower part of the upper blade 5. The cutting part is rendered actuatable in follow up to the hand part. The die 2 is lowered after the end of clamping and cutting of the lead wire C. As a result, the lead wire C is clamped in the compact B before the compact is released from the die 2 and, therefore, the movement of the compact B on a lower punch 3 does not arise any more and the compacted article free from the damage and deformation is produced.
