PURPOSE: To provide a battery excellent in a characteristic having a long life by providing an active material carried in more quantity further with better adhesion than in the past, in a battery electrode in which metal foil or a metal porous material sheet serves as a supporter to provide the electrode active material carried in this supporter.
CONSTITUTION: In an electrode, an electrode active material is provided to be carried in an electrode supporter, and metal foil or a metal porous material sheet can be used as the electrode supporter. In the metal porous material sheet, methods of vacuum evaporation, sputtering, ion plating, etc., are used. Next, as the active material, nonion, anion, cation, etc., are provided, but in the point of temperature resistance, stability in the electrolytic atmosphere, etc., a surface active agent of fluorin can be used. In the active material processed by this surface active agent, by applying the active material to the metal foil or metal porous material sheet, the active material can be carried in more quantity further with better adhesion than in the past.
