PURPOSE: To improve operability by reducing operating physical force of the floor nozzle of the vacuum cleaner main body.

CONSTITUTION: In the floor nozzle of the vacuum cleaner, a running roller 13 of the front side held with a spring, and a running roller 14 of the rear side are provided in the lower end of a main body 11 of the floor nozzle of the vacuum cleaner, and in the lower end of the main body of the floor nozzle of the rear side, respectively, and between both the running rollers in the main body 11 of the floor nozzle, a rotary shaft of a motor and a counter roller 17 for rotating by abutting on this rotary shaft 16 are provided. This floor nozzle is constituted so that this rotary shaft 16 and the counter roller 17 and both the running rollers are freely movable forward and backward relatively, one of the rotary shaft 16 and the counter roller 17 is freely abuttable and detachable onto and from the running roller 13 of the front side, and the other is freely abuttable and detachable onto and from the running roller 14 of the rear side. Also, by changing the diameters of the counter roller 17 and the running roller, a moving speed and driving force in the advance direction and the retreat direction can be varied.
