Title:
LOW NOX COMBUSTION METHOD IN ROLLING FURNACES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2605198
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To further reduce NOx and enhance the quality of a rolled material after it is rolled by using the structure of a rolling furnace.
CONSTITUTION: A rolling furnace 1 is provided with combustion chambers 2, 3 and 4 which constitute a soaking band, a heating band and a preheating band from the front side of a transfer direction of a rolled material 10 to its rear side where burners 5, 6 and 7 are installed thereto respectively. At the same time, there are installed combustion gas flow passages 8 and 9 which are reduced in width in combustion chambers between the soaking band and the heating band, and the heating chamber and the preheating chamber. The fuel gas is ejected from fuel gas nozzles 13 and 14, which are installed to the upper stream side of the combustion gas flow passages, directed at the rolled material, thereby forming a reduction ambient region at the down stream side.
