Abstract:
PURPOSE: To cut a small circle or square with high accuracy without moving the main body of an articulated robot and to ensure large operating range so as to cut a large circle or square.
CONSTITUTION: An articulated robot is a robot having 7 shafts or 8 shafts constructed in such a way that one end of a first arm 6 is rotatably supported on a supporting member 5 fixed to the forward end part 1 of the articulated robot, a second arm 7 adapted to rotate in a horizontal plane to the first arm 6 is provided on the other end, and a tool holding member is provided on the forward end of the second arm 7.
