Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reconcile the prevention of over cooling of an engine and a reduction in fan noise with the prevention of over heat of the engine with a simple structure at low cost by rotating and controlling a cooling fan driven by the engine through a viscous type fan clutch at a proper rotating speed according to the operation state of the engine. CONSTITUTION:In a clutch case 10 (or a clutch disk 14) connected to a fan 6 in a fan clutch 8, a control part not connected to the fan 6 and an engine is connected to an electric motor 25 and a fluid type braking means 29. An interrupting and continuing means 28 for interrupting and connecting the connection of the clutch case 10 (or the clutch disk 14) or the control part to the braking means 29 is provided.
