Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily form a small stock of dissimilar section shape at arbitrary dimension with high accuracy by covering the circumference of a core which is preliminarily formed into the shape of dissimilar section shape with a covering material, performing the reduction in size by the hydrostatic extrusion, and removing the covering material.
SOLUTION: A core 6 having dissimilar section shape which is similar to the desired section and larger in diameter is machined. A covering material 7 having the prescribed property is covered around the outer circumference of the core 6 to form a composite member billet 1. The section of the composite member billet is reduced in section by the hydrostatic extrusion, and the covering material of the reduced composite member billet is finally removed through heating and melting. Then, the reduced core 6 is cut to the required length (or thickness) to obtain a parts of three dimensional dissimilar section shape.
