Abstract:

PURPOSE: To furnish the TIG welding method capable of preventing the wire tip from globurizing.

CONSTITUTION: When welding work by a welding main current value (b) is completed, a wire is drawn in by the specified quantity and separated from a molten pool and a current value during the time till drawing-in of the wire is completed is once reduced to a globurizing preventive current value (d) to the extent that globurizing is not generated on the wire tip from the welding main current value (b). After drawing-in of the wire is completed, the current value is again increased up to a specified value lower than the welding main value (b) and higher than the globurizing preventive current value (d) and then, the current value is gradually reduced so that the molten pool can be smoothly ended.
