Title:
HIGH-FREQUENCY PARTIAL DISCHARGE SENSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0618603
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a high-frequency partial discharge sensor, which can detect the partial discharge generated in a power cable in hot cable state and has excellent measuring accuracy.

CONSTITUTION: An electrode 2 is arranged around a power cable 1. A coil 6 is connected between the electrode 2 and a connector 5, which is provided on a shield cover 10. The coil 6 is sealed with a resin 3. The inside of the shield cover 10 is filled with waterproof compound 7. The electrode 2 forms a coupling capacitor together with the outer conductor layer of the cable 1. A resonance circuit is constituted of the coupling capacitor and the coil 6. The high-frequency component of a travelling wave, which is generated based on the partial discharge, is selectively detected with the resonance circuit. Since the inside of the shield cover 10 is filled with the waterproof compound 7, the reliability is high.
