Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance several physiological activities essentially possessed by a mugwort and simultaneously induce new physiological activities by carrying out roasting pretreatment or far IR rays roasting pretreatment of the mugwort.
CONSTITUTION: The physiological activities possessed by a mugwort are enhanced in aspects of antimicrobial, deodorizing, antioxidizing and amylase inhibiting activities by the roasting pretreatment or far IR roasting pretreatment and a dentifrice or a chewing gum having antimicrobial properties for cariogenic bacteria and insoles, etc., of shoes or boots having antimicrobial and deodorizing effects are obtained as products utilizing the mugwort extract.
