PURPOSE: To prevent lightweight materials such as plastics or vinyl product from becoming mixed with metal pieces or wooden chips and at the time, increase fraction accuracy.
CONSTITUTION: If crushed articles are charged into a transport pipe 11, the former is transported by the feeder screw 15, which rotates with a rotary drum 2, of the transport pipe 11, and drops almost in the center of a longitudinal direction of the rotary drum 2 from the other end opening 14 of the transport pipe. Incombustible or comparatively heavy combustible materials pass through an annular passage, being reversibly transported by action of a scraping plate 5 for reverse feeding. Further, these materials are discharged from one end opening 3, and comparatively light combustibles are transported by an air stream which is emitted into the annular passage of the rotary drum through an air feeder pipe 18, and finally are discharged from a rear end opening 4.
