CONSTITUTION: This ultrasonic probe has a sound matching layer 3 on the front face of a piezoelectric vibrator 2 generating ultrasonic waves, and at least two kinds of materials having different acoustic impedances are deposited at a gradually changed ratio to form the sound matching layer 3. When the ultrasonic probe has a backing material 1 on the back face of the piezoelectric vibrator 2 generating ultrasonic waves, at least two kinds of materials having different acoustic impedances may be deposited at a gradually changed ratio to form the backing material 1.
