PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition excellent in toughness, rigidity and flame retardancy by blending a polybutylene terephthalate resin and a specific thermoplastic copolyester resin with a flame retardant and glass fiber.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is obtained by blending 100 pts.wt. resin mixture composed of (A) 5-95wt.% polybutylene terephthalate resin having 1.7-3 relative viscosity and (B) 5-95wt.% resin which is a thermoplastic copolyester resin, comprising terephthalic acid (or its ester-forming derivative) and a hydrogenated dimer acid (or its ester-forming derivative) as an acid component and 1,4-butandiol as a glycol component and having 1.8-3.2 relative viscosity and 0.5-30mol% content of the hydrogenated dimer acid component based on the total acid component constituting the mixture of the components (A) with (B) with (B) 15-100 pts.wt. flame retardant (preferably a bromine-based flame retardant) and (C) 5-200 pts.wt. glass fiber.
