Abstract:
PURPOSE: To carry out safe and speedy connection and disconnection of a drill body by expanding a ring in diameter by way of screwing a bolt in a female screw hole of a wedge, bring the wedge closer in the direction of a drive collar and making it work on a wedge insertion recessed part.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of detachably providing a drill 21 on a shank 1 provided with a disc type drive collar 3 on the tip of a drive shaft 2 detachably installed on a tool installation part of a portable electric drill, in the state where a top cut conical shape wedge 15 is kept away from the drive collar 3, a drill body 22 of the drill 21 is fitted on a ring from outside, and a rear end surface of the drill body 22 is brought into contact with a tip surface 3a of the drive collar 3. Thereafter, by screwing a bolt 16 in a female screw hole of the wedge 15 and drawing in the wedge 15, the ring 6 is expanded in diameter. Consequently, by bringing an outer peripheral surface 6a of the ring 6 into pressure contact with an inner peripheral surface 22a of the drill body 22 and bringing a back surface 6c of the ring 6 into contact with a tip surface 3a of the drive collar 3, the drill body 22 is installed on the shank 1.
