Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a pile gripping method at the time of supplying a pile such as a steel sheet pile or the like to an automatic pile supply apparatus or the like, by which a series of pile gripping work and supply work can be automatically performed quickly and the pile can be gripped safely and surely so as to prevent slip-off of the grip at the time of transport.
CONSTITUTION: A frame rotatably mounted on the forward end of a boom 2 of an automatic steel sheet pile supply apparatus is disposed close to a pile 10 to be gripped. A chuck 5 slidably mounted in a sliding groove 4 of the frame 4 is moved to the inside of the pile by the operation of a hydraulic cylinder 7 to hold the grips 10a of the pile 10 from the sides by the gripping part 5a of the chuck 5.
