Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a handwritten data input device which does not require the pen to up and down.

CONSTITUTION: The vibration sound which is generated when a writing instrument 1 is used is input as note-taking data. The type of the written code can be discriminated by a signal processor 10 and a data processor 11. The vibration generated when the writing is performed is different from the normal soundwave and the vibration of the writing instrument itself is detected. A vibration detection part 4 detects the vibration of the writing instrument itself by a microphone unit. The part 4 is attached to the writing instrument commercially available so that it can be constructed without using expensive coordinate input device and the OCR. Various writing instruments can be selected and some of them can be write well because the stroke can be made zero when the pen is up and down.
