PURPOSE: To secure an article housing device of an automobile easy to take articles in and out, by making up an article port on the side face of a storage box set up beneath a seat cushion.
CONSTITUTION: An automobile seat 1 equipped with a seat cushion 2 and a seat back 3 is set up on a floor 5 via a seat supporting frame 4, and a reclining cover 6 is attached to a body outer side of this seat 1, covering a clearance between the seat cushion 2 and the floor 5. In addition, a storage box 7 is set up beneath the seat cushion 2, sliding it from the front to the back of the seat 1, and thereby this storage box is attached to the seat supporting frame 4. Likewise an article port 9 is formed on a side wall at the car body outer side at the side face. Even in a bottom wall, this article port is formed in a position corresponding to the article port 9. Since the handling of articles can be done without drawing the storage box 7 to the front from the seat cushion 2, article delivering is made achievable irrespective of a sliding position of the seat 1.
