Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tufted backing allowing manufacture at low cost and compatible with various tufted product specifications as a material having a characteristic of high backing strength and pile holding strength by stacking and jointing a specific amount of fibrous nonwoven fabric on and to an expanded sheet material of specific density and thickness for integration.
SOLUTION: Fibrous nonwoven fabric 1 has weighing capacity between 75g/m2 and 250g/m2, and an expanded sheet material 2 is a relatively bulged sheet material having flexibility as well as a cushion function. Furthermore, the expanded sheet material 2 is required to be a low density porous sheet material of relatively low density as a cushion material having a compression restoring function and at the same time, acting for improving pile holding strength. More specifically, the material 2 has density between 10kg/m3 and 50kg/m3, and thickness between 1mm and 10mm. In this case, a tufted carpet foundation cloth is formed as the stacked body of the fibrous nonwoven fabric 1 and the expanded material 2. The constitution of the stacked body has no limitation to the upper and reverse surfaces thereof as a foundation cloth for a tufted product, and may be pertinently selected, depending on the specifications of a product.
