Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a waveform control device for an electric discharge working machine, which prevents high voltage generated due to wiring inductance, is capable of raising a base current at a high speed, and is suitable for waveform controlling with a third direct current power supply of small capacity.
CONSTITUTION: In order to make the current in the reactor continuously low even while output current is cut-off, a waveform controlling device is provided with an electric current supply section including the reactor connected in parallel to a first power supply 1, electric current interrupter for intermittently supplying the current of the reactor between an electrode and a workpiece, third power supply, and electric current holding section comprising switching elements and diodes connected in series. The voltage of a third direct current power supply B30 is added to a reactor L2 to make stationary current flow to the reactor L2 during the suspension of the machine.
