PURPOSE: To obtain a compact device for inspecting flaw inside a piping which can reduce flaw-detection time in inspecting the flaw of a piping wall and inside the piping thickness.
CONSTITUTION: A wave transmitter/receiver 2 for transmitting/receiving light or ultrasonic wave 6, a reflection mirror 3 for reflecting the transmission/ reception wave 6, a rotary actuator B9 for scanning the reflection mirror 3 in circumferential direction, a linear actuator 10 for scanning axial direction, a chopper 4 between the reflection mirror and transmitter/receiver 2, and a rotary actuator A5 for scanning the chopper 4 in circumferential direction are provided. By controlling the advancing direction of the transmission/ reception wave 6 from the reflection mirror 3, the flaw on the inner surface of the piping is inspected over a wide range at one time.
