CONSTITUTION: The objective light intensity regulating element composed by sandwiching a light intensity regulating material comprising a liquid crystal and a polymer, and controlling the transmission and scattering of light according to the presence or absence of an applied electric field between a pair of electrode plates each containing an electrode in its inside. An electrode having an ability to reflect infrared rays is formed inside at least either of a pair of the electrode plates. This element excels in the performance of controlling transmittance to light in the range of visible to infrared rays. Therefore, it can provide a comfortable cabin or a comfortable living environment.
